I know there’s still a lot more that I want to do, so of course I’ll add to my list whenever those come to me. The best part about it? There’s always more to do. No matter how many things I cross off this list, I can always find something new and fun to add! What do I hope to cross off this year, you ask?
Well! I’m already signed up for my first half-marathon September 4, there’s talk of a Spinning Tour-de-France simulation around here that I might have to get into and I just saw a flyer for a mini-triathlon in Pittsburgh in the fall! I’m trying to resist the urge to do everything all at once (which I fall pray to often due to my spastic go-get-em attitude). I wanted to also try for a Half-Ironman by the end of this year too, but I think that would be just a little too much – baby steps, guys, baby steps!
What kind of things do you have on your fitness bucket list? Anything you’ve accomplished lately that you’ve always dreamed of doing?
What’s so awesome about blogging, in my opinion, is the inspiration you get from your fellow bloggers! I didn’t even know what a century was until I watched Caitlin from Healthy Tipping Point train and complete one. And I’m pretty sure I saw the Disney Princess Half-Marathon on a blog somewhere too! You guys keep me going and give me the reassurance that I can do anything. So thanks, my little blends, for moving me to set new goals and reach heights I never though I would. (:
Before I go, I know that you’ve probably seen this a million times all over the blog-o-sphere, but I’m sure you’ll see it a million times more so I don’t feel bad saying:
Yeah, that's right. A whole day. Dedicated to running. Can you even stand it?! Although I feel like there's a national day for just about everything (National Donut Day anyone?), this is definitely a cause I can get behind.
I’m going to be celebrating later tonight with my little cousin and I hope you all plan on participating as well! Lace up those sneakers baby and go run with your bad self!
I don't really have a fitness bucket list to be honest. Yours is great! I do agree with you on learning so much from fellow bloggers though!
ReplyDeleteGlad this led me to your cute site!!
ReplyDeleteYour bucket list is a great idea, put it out there for people.
After this weekend, seeing actual rock climbers in CO was amazing. Def move that higher up:)
Spinning Tour-de-France simulation, um yes please! Minus the hills and tight turns though.
I need to think about mine, but definitely would have to include some travel to Europe, visit to winery included!
Wow I love this fitness bucket list! I want to try hot yoga too! :) Hope you had a good run today!
ReplyDeleteI love the fitness bucket list, I now feel the need to make my own!
ReplyDeleteLOVE your goals, and your ambition!! I have heaps as well, and I think writing them all down really helps. I'm excited to hear about your half marathon! At the moment I'm debating as to whether or not to run Boston in 2011 - a lot of people I know are telling me to go for it but there's the other part of me that wants to know what I'm doing job-wise come September and whether or not I will feel like I have enough time to train!
ReplyDeleteI love hiking as well..I've heard of a couple of travel companies that do hikes in Peru along the Inca trail, which is something that appeals to me. Any specific country in mind?
I know the Fitnessista did the Disney Half Marathon! I really want to do that race as well, but I'm still having trouble with my knee after 2 years, so I'm not sure if a half is in my future :/
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing idea! I may have to create a Fitness Bucket List of my own. Let's both do the Disney Half! It would be so much fun and the best blogger meetup ever!! I also want to hike in a foreign country but hopefully that will be accompished if/when I study abroad. Oh and hot yoga: do it!!
ReplyDeleteDo WOGS (Walk/jogs) count as celebration of National RUnning Day? I sure hope so :)
ReplyDeletePS- I LOVE hot yoga... you gotta try it!

ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to run a marathon in another country!
ReplyDeleteI love this! I really want to do some rock climbing and run a marathon one day!
ReplyDeleteRight now I've got my eye on the prize- training for my first half in August! I'm really excited about it- and hope it leads to even more halfs and fulls! :)
ReplyDeleteI like the jiu jitsu one!
ReplyDeleteI love your fitness bucket list. It's filled with some great ideas! :)
ReplyDeleteI really want to run my first 5K soon!
That's an awesome bucket list! I want to do most of those things--minus the rock climbing! I have given myself so many goals to reach by the time I'm 30, but eek, that's in like 6 months, so I think I need to lower the bar just a bit :/

I just got home from Bikram (hot) yoga. You have to try it! It's awesome!
ReplyDeleteI am the same way. I get very gung ho and want to do everything at once. There is so much motivation the blog world. I am running my first half marathon this Sunday. After that I want to work on running faster and do some shorter distances. I definitely want to do some triathalongs as well. There are so many different options!
